Camera Cruise
Note: The Cruise functionality is only available on Synx HD cameras.
Camera cruise is the ability to record the camera's movement and store it in the camera's head. When you then run a cruise, the recorded actions are replicated and repeated indefinitely until the camera is moved.
Configuration
Navigate to System Setup --> Advanced Configuration --> Workstations --> Client Configuration Setting.
Under the GUI Settings tab, locate the advancedSynxCameraFunctions entry. Ensure that its Current Value is set to true.
Click Save. This will make both the Cruise and Autopan functions available.
Navigate to System Setup --> Advanced Configuration --> Camera --> Setup Camera Types. Select the Synx HD Cruise? checkbox.
This enables the buttons in the Camera Functions panel, as shown in the image below. If the Synx HD Cruise? box is not selected, the related buttons in the Camera Functions panel will be disabled.
Using Cruise
To use the cruise functionality:
- Select the ID you want to configure using the drop-down menu. At the moment this is 1-8, as the cruise feature is only supported in our SynxHD Cameras, which only support up to eight cruises.
- Click Start Recording.
- Using the Camera Control panel, pan, tilt and/or zoom the camera along the path you want to record.
- Press End Recording. The cruise should now be saved in the camera's head.
- To start the cruise, click Start Cruise.
