Manage Diary Tasks (Angular)
Diary tasks can also be operated using a panel displayed via the Angular UI.
The benefits of using the Angular version include easier navigation to related incidents, faults, contacts and patrols. Using the Angular resources also decreases load on the server.
Creating the Diary Tasks Web Panel
To use the Angular version of diary tasks, you will first need to create a web panel capable of displaying the Angular pages.
Go to Setup -> System Setup -> Advanced Configuration -> Setup User Defined Panels.
Note: The Menu Title field configures the section name for the custom panels when displayed in Customize View. Enter a name into this field to change the section title.
Click Add.
In the Title field, enter a name for the panel.
Enter values into the Width and Height fields to customize the panel size. To use the default size, leave these values as 0.
In the URL field, enter "https://127.0.0.1:8443/diary-task-management/". This URL allows Synergy to retrieve the files from the Apache repository in order to display the web page.
Select Chrome as the Component Type.
Select Save.
The panel is now shown in the list.
Next, go to Customize View.
Use the scroll arrows to find the Web Panels (or other custom name, if applicable) section.
The newly-created panel is shown.
Drag the panel into an empty area in the UI to open it.
