Selecting Video Conversion Formats

When you export video from Synergy, you can choose whether it is exported in Audio Video Interlaced (.AVI), Windows Media Video (.WMV) or MPEG-4 Part 14 (.MP4) format.

Click the Video File Convert button on the Video menu to select the export format. The Select Type of File Export dialog appears.

Select the file format to which to convert the selected video clips and click OK.

If exporting to MP4 format, select whether to transcode the video clips, thereby committing OSD to the file.

Note: If exporting to MP4 format, audio is automatically exported with video.

If you are exporting to AVI format and you select to export uncompressed files, you will be warned that the file size is large and will take time to export.

Click Yes to proceed with exporting uncompressed files, or No to select another compression option.

Specify the directory to which to save the file.

A progress bar tracks the export process.

Note: When exporting video in AVI format Synergy will automatically downscale this to D1 format (720 x 486 resolution). WMV video will be converted to full HD.
