Stream Status Indication
Stream Status Indication is an optional setting, which is usually turned off by default. When it is on, there is an icon in the lower right corner of the Video Window that indicates the quality of the video stream from your selected camera. To turn on this indicator, you will need to edit the ClientPlaybackEngineConfig.xml file and change the <EnableExcellentStreamQualityIndicationIcon>false</EnableExcellentStreamQualityIndicationIcon> setting to true. You will then need to restart the "SynecticsRuntimeMonitorService" service.
If you are working in a multi-screen video layout, there will be one icon per video feed. The table below details the status related to each icon.
| Stream Status Icon | Video Stream Quality |
|---|---|

Some minor packet loss. Although not critical, you should inform your network administrator. |

When there is a stream fault, the video playback window will display the below icon by default. This icon may also be displayed when there are many attempts to reactivate a stream.
This icon is configurable. To change it, move the new icon to C:\Program Files\Synectics\Synergy\image\icon and save the file with the name ‘StreamFault.png’. You will need to overwrite, move or delete the old icon.
You will also need to add the following to synergy.properties: showOverlayStalledVideoWindows=true
