Dashboards for PSN Health
PSN health information is available both in tandem with other Synergy information in customized layouts, and independently in one standardized layout.
The following dashboard components are available:
- PSN Camera Count – Total cameras on a specific PSN
- PSN CPU – Shows CPU usage on a specific PSN
- PSN Disk Usage – The count above and below the configured threshold
- PSN Events by Camera – Group counts over the last 24 hours by day
- PSN Events by Type – Groups based on types such as packet loss over the last 24 hours
- PSN Events per Hour – Total events in a given hour
- PSN Events per PSN – Total counts per PSN of events over 24 hour period
- PSN Memory – The count above and below a particular threshold
- PSN Network Usage – The usage above and below a particular threshold
- RAID Status – Grouping of RAID status
- RMS Active – If Synectics Recording Management System is active or not
- Watchdog Active – If the Synectics Watchdog is active or not
In Customized Layouts
In the Dashboard section of Customize View, the following PSN health dashboard components are available for arrangement in custom layouts with other components.
To create a customized layout including PSN health information:
Go to Customize View and select Empty Grid.
Go to the Dashboard section and drag and drop one of the components onto the blank layout.
You can click and drag the top-left corner of the component to re-position it, and re-size it by holding and dragging the bottom-right corner.
To delete a component, click the top-right corner of the component.
Repeat until all the required components are arranged appropriately on the grid.
Switch to another view and you will be prompted to save the new layout and select an icon to associate with it.
Exit and log back in to the Synergy client application.
To access your user-created views, go to Views->User Created.
Example including PSN CPU and Watchdog Active (no data loaded):
In a Standardized Layout
Alternatively, you can use a pre-defined layout for viewing system dashboard information only.
To create a standard layout consisting only of PSN health dashboard components:
Go to Customize View and select Empty Grid.
In the Events and Operations section, drag and drop the System Dashboard components onto the grid.
You can click and drag the top-left corner of the component to re-position it, and re-size it by holding and dragging the bottom-right corner.
From the Grid Size drop-down menus, select the intended size of the layout.
Under Available Sequencies, select the components to include in the layout.
To show data filters in the top-right of your dashboard that allow you to filter by channel or message type, add the client configuration setting <showDashboardDataFilters>true</showDashboardDataFilters> to the ClientConfig.xml.
Click Save.
To create multiple dashboards, click New and repeat the previous steps.
Switch to another view and you will be prompted to save the new layout and select an icon to associate with it.
To access your user-created views, go to Views->User Created.
