Recording of PTZ Movement in Dewarped Incident Video Clips
Instead of saving a full 360° panoramic view of the scene of an incident, you can make and record digital PTZ movements onto dewarped incident video clips. This allows for more obvious capturing of an incident's subject/action.
To access this function, gradient zoom (not legacy) fisheye correction must be enabled (see Configuring Fisheye Correction on page 1).
Whilst playing back a saved incident video clip:
Right-click the video window and select Fisheye PTZ Record.
Note: Video playback is switched to a single screen layout and paused. Main playback controls are disabled to prevent accidental switching to live video playback.
Use the playback controls in the Fisheye PTZ Record dialog box to navigate to the beginning of the significant action in the video clip.
When video playback is at the point at which you want to start recording PTZ movements, click the Play icon (►).
Click Start Recording (toggle button).
Using the draggable red dot on the Camera Control tab, make appropriate digital PTZ movements following the action captured in the incident video clip.
Once finished, click Stop Recording (toggle button).
Click OK.
The amended clip is saved to the incident and plays back from the beginning.
Note: PTZ movement recording is not available in reverse playback (◄).
Note: PTZ movement recording is sequential only; if you attempt to record additional PTZ movements on an earlier timestamp, previous recordings will be deleted.
To re-record PTZ movement, click Cancel Recording, exit the Fisheye PTZ Record dialog box and restart the process.
