Editing Faults
To select a fault for editing, select and double-click on the fault from the list. The fault ID and device information will be pre-populated.
Update the additional fault information as needed. You can edit the following information:

Fault Type - Here you can categorize the fault according to your pre-defined fault types. You can filter the fault types available for a specific device by configuring your fault types so that they will be the first shown in the drop-down list as available for selection for a particular device. See configuration detail below. On the Setup Fault Types page, use the Limit to Device field to configure this filter.

Fault Subtype - Sub-types can also be selected if you have defined fault types with parent fault types in Setup Fault Types. This allows you to create broader fault type categories and then create sub-categories for these that are then also available for selection.

Severity - Assign a level of urgency to the fault.

Status - Assign a status to indicate the fault's current stage in processing.

Description - This is a free text field for adding further information on the issue.
Setup: Fault types and sub-fault types are set up via Setup -> System Setup -> Press for Advanced Configuration -> Faults -> Setup Fault Types.
Click Save.
Click OK to confirm or View Faults List to return to the full list of faults. The new information will display in this list.
The History Column
The history of a fault is displayed on the right-hand side of the edit page in descending date/time order.
All actions made by system users regarding this fault appear here.
If you want to add an action, click Add Entry.
Here you can select an action code from the drop-down menu.
Setup: Action codes are set up via Setup -> System Setup -> Press for Advanced Configuration -> Faults -> Setup Fault Action Codes.
Make a selection from the drop-down menu and click OK. You will also need to enter a comment in order to save. You will then see the action taken listed under History, as shown:
Additional Details
Click Show Additional Details to add further information on the fault.
If the fault is present continuously, as opposed to intermittently, select the Fault is Constant checkbox.
If the fault continues to exist even after you have performed a power cycle (full shutdown and boot up) on the affected unit, select the Fault Persists Power Cycle checkbox.
If applicable, in the Frequency of Fault field, enter how often this fault occurs.
Maintainer allows you to select the person to be assigned to the fault. If you have pre-assigned a maintainer to a specific fault type, this will show by default if the fault type has been configured on this screen. Click Contact Info to see their details. On the Setup Fault Types configuration page, use the Maintainer field to configure this default.
Setup: Contacts can be set up under System Data -> Contacts.
You can also enter a job reference, if applicable.
The Make, Model, Serial Number, Firmware Version, MAC Address and Hardware Revision fields are automatically populated with the selected device's information, if available.
Fault Completion Details
Click Completion Details when the fault is resolved.
Make a selection from the Completion Type drop-down menu.
Make an entry in the Engineer Name field.
Click the Time Attended date picker and select the appropriate date and time to reflect when an engineer attended to the fault.
Repeat this process for the Time Fixed field with the date and time that the fix to the fault was complete.
Make a selection from the Checked By User drop-down menu.
If applicable, make a selection from the Faulty Part drop-down menu.
If applicable, make a selection from the Fault Cause drop-down menu.
These are configured under Setup -> System Setup -> Advanced Configuration -> Faults -> Setup Fault Types -> Object Type.
Complete the Status.
Enter a brief description of how the fault was completed in the Completion Comment field.
Click Confirm and Close. The new information appears in the Faults Data table.
