Saving Incidents to CDs
You can save incidents to CDs for export to third parties, for back up, and to create storage room in your incident lockers.
To save an incident to a CD, select it from the list in the View Locker Contents dialog.
Click the Burn CD button. The CD of Incident dialog appears, with the incident ID number in the title bar.
Click Yes. The Select Footage dialog appears.
Click All to save all incident files to the CD or Specific Clip to save a select clip to the CD.
If you select All, the Burning Disk Operation dialog appears, indicating the number of disks required to accommodate the footage.
Click OK.
If you select Specific Clip, the Select Clip dialog appears.
Select the clip that you want to save to a CD and click OK. The Burning Disk Operation dialog appears, indicating the number of disks required to accommodate the footage.
Click OK. The files for the CD(s) are prepared and a progress bar appears. When this is finished, the Synergy Disk Writer launches.
Enter a Title for the CD and select a Drive. Click the Options button if you want to change settings, such as Write Speed. Click Burn. When the CD(s) have burned, a confirmation message appears, giving you the option to burn another copy of the CD.
Note: Synectics Media Player 2 will also be burned to the CD. You can use this to play the incident footage on a PC: see the Synergy Media Player 2 User Guide on the Synectics Global Support Portal for more information on this application. If you are using non-modal dialog boxes in Synergy, you will be given the option of whether or not you wish to include the Media Player when you burn to CD.
