Saving Incidents to an Incident Locker
To save incident video to an Incident Locker, click the Incident Video view on the Views menu. This view features the Incidents tab, which contains a searchable list of your incidents.
Select the incident that you want to save to the locker and click the Save To Locker button in the lower part of the tab. The Confirm Incident Movement dialog appears.
Click Yes.
If the total incident size exceeds a pre-configured certain amount, the following notification displays:
To proceed with the incident save, click OK.
To abort the incident save, click Cancel.
Setup: To configure the amount in MB after which to warn before saving an incident, go to Setup->System Setup->Press for Advanced Configuration->Central Configuration Settings. On the Incidents tab, select the checkIncidentSizeBeforeSaveMB row. Edit its Current Value cell to specify the amount in MB (for example, a value of 200 would warn upon incident sizes greater than 0.2 GB). Click Save and restart the Synergy client application.
The following screenshot shows the status of the save in the Video Location column of the table.
If at any point you realize that you need to cancel the process of saving to the incident locker, you can go to Forms and Reports -> System Status -> System Status -> Digital Recording -> File Transfer Queue and select Stop Save for the process you wish to cancel. If any video has been saved, only the percentage completed will display in the incident locker.
Another way to save an incident to an Incident Locker is to import it. Click the Manage Lockers button on the Video menu.
The View Locker Contents screen appears.
Click the Import Incident button. The Review Incidents dialog appears.
Find the incident you want to save to the locker using the Incident Selection Parameters. Select it and click OK. The Confirm Incident Movement dialog appears.
Click Yes.
Note: By default, the incident is saved with the same video sensitivity level of the user group to which the user that saved the incident.
To pause or cancel the saving of an incident, go to: Forms & Reports->System Status->Digital Recording->File Transfer Queue.
Select a file related to the incident.
To stop a specific operation, select the Stop Save checkbox in the column for that incident.
To pause an operation, select the Pause Save checkbox in the column for that incident.
To stop all operations at once, click Stop Saves.
In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
Note: The save queue might take some time to clear. If the files relating to the incident do not clear from the list after a few seconds, click Refresh.
