Add All Clips to Incident
To add all clips currently in the clip basket to an existing incident click the Add To Existing Incident button in the Clip Basket Tab.
The Enter Incident Details To Savedialog appears.
A dialog box is displayed allowing you to select between saving the clips to a new incident or to an existing incident:
If you have a current incident open, you can then select whether to add the clips to it or to another incident in the Select Incident for Saved Footage dialog:
The number of the current incident is displayed in the dialog.
If you select Find Other Incident, the Review Incidents dialog appears. Select the incident to which you want to add evidence and click OK. The Incident Amendment Warning appears.
If you select Current Incident, the Incident Amendment Warning appears.
Click OK to close the message. The Manage Evidence For Incident dialog appears.
There are two lists in the dialog:
Video Not Required for the Incident – clips in this list will not be added to the incident
Incident Video to Keep – clips in this list will be saved to the incident.
Clips already saved in the incident appear in red.
Use the button to add clips to the list of Incident Video to Keep or the
button to add all clips.
Use the buttons to move clips from the list of video to keep back to the list of Video Not Required for the Incident.
You can arrange the order of the Incident Video to Keep by using the buttons.
Once you have selected all clips to save, click Save. A message telling you that the locker contents will be amended appears:
Click OK to add the clips to the incident.
The above message does not necessarily mean that all footage was successfully saved. You should check the Events tab for further messages as described below.
If all footage is successfully saved to the locker a message icon confirming this is displayed in the Events tab:
Click on the message to validate the save. The following message appears:
A transaction record is also added to the incident, including all user interactions with the incident.
You can view the transactions for an incident on the Transactions tab of the IIncident Detailsdialog.
‘Validation Complete. All files for the incident Successfully loaded’
Performing the validation and having the transaction record for this is particularly important should the incident be used as evidence in a court of law.
If the save fails, a message appears in the Events tab:
You can click on the message to find further save fail details.
The footage may not have been saved into the incident locker for various reasons, such as a lack of space. In this case, check space usage in the Manage Lockers menu. To increase the space on the incident locker, you can remove some of the listed incidents. If you think sufficient space is not available, please contact your system administrator.
